Great history on the use of cans in craft beer, notice the trend of lagers in cans! Craft beer is expanding occasions, and cans are helping get good beer places bottles couldn’t. http://allaboutbeer.com/live-beer/brewing/brewing-features/2013/08/canned-mythology/
With the Rainier “R” being put back on the building tomorrow, I thought I’d archive some of the coverage from when we launched. Wow, have the last three years have gone by fast! I can only imagine what it was like in 1878, when Rainier first started brewing lagers in Seattle.

About Dottie Seattle Lager:
Dottie Seattle Lager is an Amber Session Lager (4.9% ABV, 25 IBU) that is made from the world-class brewing ingredients grown right here in Washington State.
This truly is a Seattle Lager with a base that is 100% Washington grown barley. The specialty grains, Vienna, Munich, and Melanoidin, add a sweet biscuit flavor to the beer that we balanced with a generous helping of American Nobel Hops to add spice to balance out this malty brew.
Dottie pours a clean and clear copper-reddish color with a frothy white head. The beer’s medium-light body and crisp finish results is a great all-season session beer.
